•  Archaeological Museum of Kos

The Archaeological Museum of Kos contains all the findings that came to light during the excavations carried out on the island from the beginning of the century until today, mainly from the archaeological sites of the Agora and the Western archaeological site, as well as from individual monuments such as Altar of Dionysus, the Conservatory and the Roman House (Casa Romana). The exhibition of sculptures that operates today at the Museum brings together works dating from the Hellenistic to the Late Roman years and aims to present to the general public the most important works of sculpture from Kos.   (More...)

 

•  Asklepieion at Kos

In the peaceful hinterland of Epidaurus, with its mild climate and abundant mineral springs, is the sanctuary of the god-physician Asklepios, the most famous healing centre of the Greek and Roman world. The sanctuary belonged to the small coastal town of Epidaurus, but its fame and recognition quickly spread beyond the limits of the Argolid. It is considered the birthplace of medicine and is thought to have had more than two hundred dependent spas in the eastern Mediterranean. Its monuments, true masterpieces of ancient Greek art, are a precious testimony to the practice of medicine in antiquity. History - Location of our Hotel...

The Garden City Image hotelfurnished apartments belongs to KRITIKOS EVANGELOS GROUP OF COMPANIES.

In 2016 has been done a radical renovation. The rooms have kitchensfully equipped, which is, small cooking hobs, fridge, cookware. The room is also equipped with air conditioning and a safe. Rooms have a spacious balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea and a separate entrance with mountain views. It also has the unique spa unit, operating in the area ofTigaki and one of the most modern in Kos.
It also features a modern French technology pooland a snack bar offering refreshing drinks, coffees and snacks 24 hours a day. On site you will find a Beach Volleycourt, which has Olympic dimensions. Protected parking area is also provided.

All of the above guarantees a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The accommodationis located in the holiday resort of Tigaki, it is 11 kilometers west of Kos Town, 7 kilometers north of Asfendi village and is inhabited by about 250 residents. Developed in recent years in front of the long sandy beach of the North coast of the island in a small beautiful and lush valley. In the old days it was the favorite holiday location for the locals from the village of Asfendiou. The environment is spectacular and tranquil. Plants everywhere create a lush background and many flowers add their colorful touches to this beautiful table of nature and man.

This fact and many other services provided, have made Tigaki one of the most popular destinations in Kos. You will find good food, starting with fresh fish in the local taverns and ending with local and European cuisine. And if you crave something, there are plenty of snack bars and fast food to keep you,until your "good" and delicious dinner. Most shops are concentrated in the center of the village and are open all day, offering guests every product or service they want. And in the evenings, entertainment is ensured in many relevant shops, some of which last until the morning. 

Visitors can swim, enjoy sunbathing and enjoy a lot of water sports on the huge sandy beach with crystal clear waters (10 kilometers long) that has been awarded with the Blue Flag many times, both for its cleanliness, as well as its proper organization. Shallow waters make the white sand beach ideal for families with young children, or for inexperienced swimmers. Lovers of windsurfing will find it ideal, because of the waves that forming offshore. And for those who want to try surfing, but are not experienced in sports, there is a relevant learning school.

For them who get tired of relaxing and playing with the beautiful sea, there are nearby places for an alternative ride. West of Tigaki, there is the Alykes wetland and within a short distance, from 2 to 8 km, you will find small traditional settlements with many interesting places to see (Zipari, Asfendiou, Pyli, Old Pyli). Health emergencies are covered by the health services of the nearby capital.

Access is very easy for the nearby capital (11 kilometers), by bus (frequent itineraries), by taxi, by private or rented car, by motorbike and even by bicycle. Remember that cycling is a popular means of transport for most of the island. The airport is approximately 15 kilometers northeast.
